Benefits of Merging Multiple SSO IDs

The Problem with Multiple SSO IDs
Many users mistakenly create multiple SSO IDs—one for recruitment, another for e-Mitra, and perhaps one using Google login. Having multiple IDs causes issues when trying to link primary identity documents like Aadhaar or Jan Aadhaar, which can only be linked to a single account.
Why You Should Merge/Deactivate
To access government services seamlessly, especially scholarships and job applications, your SSO ID must be KYC verified with Jan Aadhaar. If you have multiple accounts, you risk data fragmentation and application rejections.
The Solution
The state government provides a facility to merge a citizen ID with a government employee ID. For regular citizens with duplicate IDs, the official procedure is to email the SSO helpdesk requesting the deactivation of the duplicate ID so the Jan Aadhaar link can be freed up for the primary account. Always ensure your primary account uses your official name and mobile number.
